Cassie Ventura is a singer and model who signed with Combs' Bad Boy Records in 2006. Their relationship lasted over a decade. In 2023, she filed a lawsuit alleging rape, physical abuse, and coercion into sex acts with other men. The case was settled a day later but prompted additional lawsuits and further criminal investigation.

The singer broke down crying in court as she discussed Combs' "freak offs," a term for the mogul's alleged drug-fueled sex parties. She said that they made her feel "horrible" and "worthless" but that she continued to participate for "the one-on-one time" with Combs and out of fear that the rapper would become violent or find someone new.

Combs faces five federal charges of racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution, to which he has pleaded not guilty.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who is on trial at a Manhattan court on several allegations of sex crimes, was allegedly pinned against the wall by a security guard who claims Combs tried to bribe him after the music mogul assaulted his then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, the former guard said in court.
