The Cleveland Guardians were rolling and playing some of their best baseball of the season coming out of the All-Star Break. However, they hit a roadblock in Missouri with a series loss against the Kansas City Royals. The Guardians split Saturday’s doubleheader but lost Sunday’s rubber match in a frustrating fashion.

Noah Cameron pitched five scoreless innings, Maikel Garcia hit a home run and the host Kansas City Royals beat the Cleveland Guardians on July 27.

Steven Kwan hit a two-run home run, Tanner Bibee struck out eight in five innings, and the Cleveland Guardians beat the Kansas City Royals 6-4 to earn a doubleheader split
