Head Colorado Buffaloes football Coach Deion "Coach Prime" Sanders will speak to the media on Monday morning for the first 2025 camp news conference. This time, his medical team will appear alongside him.
Sanders underwent a procedure that saw two of his toes amputated in 2022, and another emergency surgery in June 2023 to treat blood clots. As for Askevold, she has been there every step of the way, as she was the Head Football Athletic Trainer at Jackson State starting 2021, and joined Sanders once he took the job in Boulder.
The former Jackson State head coach will meet with media to address his health and status with the Colorado Buffaloes.
Coach Prime has dealt with health challenges over the offseason. The Colorado Buffaloes head coach battled with a mystery ailment after the 2024 college football season, and it turned out to be bladder cancer.
