President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu have said they believe a 60-day deal to return half the hostages and a temporary ceasefire in Gaza will happen soon.

This comes as the US President is considering additional sanctions on Moscow after becoming increasingly frustrated over the rising death toll in the Ukraine war.
Trump has largely focused on expanding the Abraham Accords, an agreement in his first term that led to normalization of relations between Israel and some Arab nations. He's also proposed a relocation plan for Gaza's two million Palestinians, which Netanyahu endorsed at the time.

U.S. President Donald Trump says Israel has agreed on terms for a new 60-day ceasefire with Hamas and that Washington would work with both sides during that time to try to end more than 20 months of war in Gaza.
The U.S. President said Israel “agreed to the necessary conditions to finalize” a 60-day ceasefire, “during which time we will work with all parties to end the war.”
President Donald Trump said he would meet again with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday to further efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza following new momentum after a US proposal to temporarily halt the fighting.
