HOUGHTON, MI – Two people were found dead over the weekend at a remote backcountry campground in Isle Royale National Park, authorities announced. Around 4 p.m. Sunday, park rangers received two separate reports of two campers found dead at the park.

Two campers found dead at Lake Superior's Isle Royale National Park have been identified, the National Park Service said Thursday. Officials said next of kin have been notified and that there is no known threat to the public.
