With about 25,000 visitors annually and no roads or electricity, Isle Royale's seclusion is both its appeal and what makes recent deaths there so mysterious.

Two campers found dead this week at Isle Royale National Park have been identified, officials said Thursday. The U.S. National Park Service said authorities have notified next of kin for both the deceased campers, who were found Sunday at a remote site at the South Lake Desor Campground in the middle of the 206-square-mile Lake Superior island.
