The Palestinian militant group Hamas has handed over another body to employees of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the Gaza Strip. According to Hamas, the remains are those of a hostage kidnapped from Israel.
At least some of the fighters are believed to be in the enclave’s vast tunnel network, marooned behind the “yellow line” that Israeli forces withdrew to as part of the cease-fire.
USAID Office of the Inspector General is pursuing allegations that U.S. taxpayer dollars sent to the Gaza Strip were diverted to Hamas terrorists in the enclave.
"The goal, alongside the return of all the hostages and the casualties, is to disarm Hamas of its weapons and demilitarize Gaza," he said. The IDF is working to kill Hamas terrorists and destroy the organization's tunnels that are located behind the Yellow Line,
Envisioned as a temporary boundary under the first phase of the agreement, the line has instead become a flashpoint in the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
