Luka Dončić's efforts to help sell prospective targets on the Los Angeles Lakers has eased some of the fears about the five-time All-Star's future in Southern California, according to NBA insider Marc Stein.

Luka Doncic has been steering the ship, and he's happy about the direction it's going. The Athletic's Dan Woike previously reported that Doncic was involved of the recruitment of Deandre Ayton and Marcus Smart to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Lakers will sign Marcus Smart to a two-year, $11 million deal after he clears waivers following his contract buyout with the Wizards.
