Per Deadline, the two new limited anthology series will expand Murphy’s American Story banner, which has covered sensational cultural moments throughout history, including the O.J. Simpson murder trial and the murder of fashion magnate Gianni Versace.

It might be hard to remember now in the cursed age of RFK Jr., but there was a time when Camelot and all that it encompassed loomed so large in the American cultural imagination that it was near-impossible to think of any mere mortal actress portraying Jackie Kennedy onscreen.

American Love Story is a new series for Murphy, but yet another offshoot of his “American Story” anthology franchise, which counts American Horror Story; American Crime Story ( The People v. O. J. Simpson, The Assassination of Gianni Versace, and Impeachment ); and American Sports Story ( Aaron Hernandez) among its entries.
