Cleveland Cavaliers star Darius Garland underwent surgery to repair a great toe injury and will miss 4-5 months as he recovers from the procedure, the team announced. The expectation is that Garland will make a full recovery and return to basketball activities by the start of training camp.

According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, the Cleveland Cavaliers haven’t had ‘substantive conversations’ with Orlando regarding a Garland trade. Furthermore, Cleveland has “little interest” in helping out an Eastern Conference contender by trading Garland to them.
