Shannon Sharpe is no long working at ESPN after being let go this week. During a special edition of his "Nightcap" podcast, not only did the Pro Football Hall of Famer confirm that he had been let go, but he also apologized to his brother, Sterling Sharpe.

After getting divorced, Sharpe's mother, Mary Alice Dixon, sent the three kids to live with their grandparents, hoping for a more stable upbringing. Still, she remained a key figure in her kids' lives as an single mother of three children and made sure they always had what they needed.

This weekend Shannon Sharpe will finally get to live his long-awaited dream of inducting his older brother Sterling into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. But before getting a chance to do that, he had to address ESPN's recent announcement on his status at the network.
