Sovereignty continued his reign among 3-year-olds with a victory in the Jim Dandy on a weekend that saw Breeders' Cup contenders in action hither and yon.

Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes champion Sovereignty rallied after losing position heading into the final turn to win the $500,000 Jim Dandy by a length at Saratoga on Saturday.

It was more of the same for Sovereignty in the traditional local prep race for the Travers Stakes, as he continued to execute his trainer’s 3-year-old-campaign plan in flawless style.
