Godolphin Racing and trainer Bill Mott decided shortly after the Kentucky Derby to skip the Preakness with Sovereignty and train up to the Belmont, which he won Saturday at Saratoga.

Sovereignty has won the 157th running of the Belmont Stakes on Saturday at the Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York.

Kentucky Derby winner Sovereignty added a second leg of the Triple Crown by winning the 2025 Belmont Stakes in much the same fashion as he did the Derby on Saturday.
