With a variety of severe weather threats in store for Alabama on Tuesday, at least one school district has announced changes to their schedules. Damaging winds, heavy rain and a couple of tornadoes may be in the cards for Alabama, according to the National Weather Service.

A powerful storm system will spawn severe weather that's likely to produce tornadoes, widespread damaging winds and hail beginning Monday night and Tuesday in the South before spreading to the East Coast on Wednesday.
