The daughter of Walter Annenberg—a media mogul and former ambassador to Great Britain—she focused much of her giving in the Los Angeles area.

Philanthropist Wallis Annenberg supported several causes, including the arts, science, education and animal welfare.

Wallis Annenberg, who had previously lost the custody of her four children because of accusations of excessive alcohol use among other allegations levied by her husband, passed away on Monday.
