Liverpool have reached the final of the Carabao Cup and some have predicted that Arne Slot’s side could do the unthinkable: win the quadruple. Following the 4-1 aggregate win over Tottenham, Liverpool are favourites to beat Newcastle at Wembley on March 16 and lift the first major trophy of the season.

Newcastle have the opportunity to end an extended domestic trophy drought that stretches all the way back to 1955, when they won the FA Cup. They have never won the League Cup but have reached the final twice before, losing to City in 1976 and to Manchester United in 2023.

Liverpool will face Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final on March 16 and the game has already had a big impact on the Premier League title race.
