The Boston Red Sox have their sights set on New York Yankees free agent outfielder Juan Soto this offseason, as he's by far the best player available on the marker. Earlier in the week, the Red Sox secured a meeting with Soto's representation, and that reportedly took place on Thursday.

The superstar is one of the best hitters in baseball, and just turned 26 years old. His new deal is expected to be in the $600 million range. So, can the Sox snag the biggest free-agent fish of them all?

“The Mets want to improve the team and there is no doubt that they will go after free agents, especially Juan Soto, who everybody wants,” he said. “The Mets will go full blast for him.” Mets owner Steve Cohen is meeting with Soto and his agent, Scott Boras, in California this week.
