REPORT: MTV Abruptly Pulls Plug On One Of Its Longest Running Shows
MTV reportedly pulled the plug on their hit show “Ridiculousness” after fourteen years on air. Sources familiar told TMZ that the move to cut one of the longest-running series in the network’s history was conveyed to the cast and crew this week.

Paramount fused with movie and TV producer Skydance in August after paying President Donald Trump $16 million to settle a lawsuit its own lawyers had called "meritless,” in what some critics described as "bribery" to secure regulatory approval.
MTV has ended production on Ridiculousness, one of its longest-running shows, according to a report from TMZ. Cast and crew were informed this week that the current season will be the last.
Paramount Skydance’s management headed by Ellison and Shell, the former head of NBCU, are seeking as much as $500 million in cuts – and MTV won’t be alone. Other properties facing streamlining include CBS’s news and sports networks.
Ridiculousness has been almost literally inescapable on MTV in the past several years, with marathons of the show occupying half or more of the channel’s daily schedule. Repeats will continue to air on MTV, and some seasons are also available on Paramount+.

Paramount Global is set to cease broadcasting of five MTV UK channels on December 31. "An official announcement is likely coming but the last air date is New Year's Eve," a source revealed to The Sun. "The channel is a victim of the rise of streaming."
