Two storm systems are forecast to bring rain, snow and powerful winds to various parts of the U.S. this week, in the days leading up to Thanksgiving.
"Travel conditions will be challenging across the northern Plains, Great Lakes and east coast," the NWS has warned.
CLEVELAND (WJW) — Overall, today is another pleasant November day. Temperatures will climb into the upper 40s near 50. It’ll be breezy, with west winds at 10 to 20 mph. Wind gusts could hit 25 mph at times.
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration data shows snow has already appeared across much of the northern U.S. and the mountainous West.
According to an outlook from the Climate Prediction Center (CPC) for the November 26 to December 2 period, there is a “slight” 20 to 40 percent chance of heavy snow across parts of Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah from November 26 to 28.
