The New England Patriots announced they signed RB Trayveon Williams and released DT Eric Johnson II in a corresponding roster move.  Williams, 27, was a sixth-round pick by the Bengals out of Texans A&M back in 2019.

After the conclusion of the 2025 NFL Draft, the Patriots continued to add to their roster by signing an impressive group of UDFAs.

However, the Patriots only needed to clear on roster spot and released undrafted free-agent tackle Cole Birdow. The reason, according to a source, is that Pene, who’s from Tours, France, qualifies for an international roster exemption.

The New England Patriots wrapped up rookie minicamp over the weekend. It was a three-day orientation featuring first-year players from the 2025 NFL draft, undrafted players and tryout players.

Iton most recently played for the Tennessee Titans. He went undrafted in 2024 but signed with the team as a free agent last May. He was waived during roster cuts in August but was added back to the Titans' practice squad. He signed a reserve/future contract with the team in January, but he was waived in April.
