Ravichandran Ashwin scored his sixth test hundred as he and Ravindra Jadeja dug India's cricketers out of trouble against Bangladesh on day one of the first test.

Shubman Gill was a part of India's collapse at the top of the order, along with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. He got out for a duck during the first day of the opening Test.
