No starters, no problem. The Los Angeles Rams leaned on their backups in Saturday's preseason opener, beating the Dallas Cowboys – who also rested their starters – by a score of 31-21 at home. Though the Rams only won by 10 points, they had a comfortable lead for most of the game, with their largest cushion being 24-6 early in the fourth quarter.

Former Tennessee quarterback Joe Milton III started for Dallas. He completed 17-of-29 passing attempts for 143 yards, one touchdown and one interception in his debut for the Cowboys. Milton III also recorded 22 rushing yards on five attempts.
