Orlando City kicked off its Major League Soccer season with a 4-2 home loss to the Philadelphia Union on Saturday night. The setback marks the first time Orlando City has lost a home opener in its 11 MLS seasons.

For the first time since joining Major League Soccer in 2015, Orlando City fell in their season opener, shockingly losing 4-2 on Saturday night against the Philadelphia Union at Inter&Co Stadium. In his MLS debut for the Lions, Marco Pasalic shined bright, scoring both of Orlando's goals.

Matchups between the sides have been hard-fought over the years. Orlando City has won three of the last four, including both games in 2024.
