A man in Long Island, N.Y., is dead after a metal chain he was wearing pulled him toward an MRI machine at a private clinic, police confirmed.

Keith McAllister, 61, was mortally wounded in the bizarre incident, which unfolded Wednesday afternoon inside Nassau Open MRI in Westbury, Long Island.

The 61-year-old was wearing a large metallic chain around his neck when he was drawn into the machine, Nassau County police said. He later died of his injuries.
