The Twin Cities, along with St. Cloud, Willmar, Marshall, Mankato, Fairmont and Albert Lea, are in a severe thunderstorm watch until midnight — and the National Weather Service says tornadoes, along with hail up to two inches in diameter and scattered wind gusts up to 70 mph are possible.
NWS meteorologist Melissa Dye said severe thunderstorms will most likely take place after 7 p.m., but that the weather is currently a “fluid situation.”

For the remainder of today, we will be on the storm watch. There is a chance for severe storms until roughly 9pm, especially south of Chicago. If we have a severe storm, all threats are possible including torrential rain, tornadoes, and damaging wind.
The National Weather Service released a severe thunderstorm warning at 9:30 p.m. on Monday in effect until 10 p.m. for Klamath County.
On Saturday at 7:16 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 7:30 p.m. for Armstrong, Indiana and Westmoreland counties.
