Prior to signing with the 76ers, Edwards spent his lone collegiate season at Kentucky, averaging 8.8 points and 3.4 rebounds in 32 games. He also led Philadelphia’s Imhotep Charter High School to consecutive Pennsylvania State titles in his junior and senior seasons from 2021-23.

Justin Edwards is a testament to hard work enabling people to overcome obstacles. The former Kentucky standout went undrafted last summer. Yet Edwards finished the 2024-25 season as one of the 76ers' most dependable young players.

The Philadelphia 76ers were able to keep a young piece in tow on a 3-year deal in an effort to continue adding a strong supporting cast around Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey.
