N EW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Political analysts say last week’s mistaken release of an inmate from the Orleans Justice Center jail only deepens the challenges facing Orleans Parish Sheriff Susan Hutson as she seeks re-election.

Khalil Bryan was released from custody around 1:15 a.m. Friday, according to the source. However, the public was not made aware of the release until approximately 14 hours later, when the New Orleans Police Department announced a press conference.
