This feature made it easy and simple to share files among PCs on your home network. Then Microsoft axed it in Windows 10, making the sharing-files-between-PCs experience more complicated.

One such solution that caters to this need is the Nearby Share app, a product of Android that facilitates the wireless transfer of files between Android devices and Windows PCs.

Note: Google’s Quick Share transfers files between an Android device and a Windows PC. If you want to share files between two Windows PCs, use the Windows’ Nearby Sharing feature.
