A former CIA official pleaded guilty Friday to leaking top secret US intelligence documents about Israeli military plans for a retaliatory strike on Iran. According to The Washington Post, the documents,

Former CIA analyst Asif Rahman admits to leaking highly classified records detailing Israeli military preparations for a retaliatory strike on Iran, reversing his earlier denial of the charges.

Asif W. Rahman, 34, admitted he leaked 17 classified documents last year. He faces a maximum of 20 years in prison.

The analyst was charged with two counts of violating the Espionage Act and faces up to a decade in prison for disclosing sensitive information about Israel’s response to an Iranian attack.
