Isaac Elementary School District is more than $28 million in debt, according to Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Chairman Thomas Galvin.
A House committee approved a bill that would direct Maricopa County Treasurer John Allen to issue $2.5 million to cover one payroll for the district.
Districts officially approved the lease-back deal to get $25 million to Isaac School District but questions remain whether teachers will get paid this week.
