The Cleveland Cavaliers won their second-most games in franchise history this season and entered the NBA playoffs as the Eastern Conference's top seed. And yet, the end of their run still feels like a worst-case scenario.
Until this point, nearly everything has been almost intoxicatingly easy for the Cavs and new coach Kenny Atkinson. They opened the season with a 15-game winning streak. They ended the regular season with a 64-18 record. Then they wiped out Miami in four games in the first round. They trailed for only 17 total minutes in those four games.
