John Ratcliffe, Trump’s choice for CIA director, promised senators he would not inject partisan politics into the spy agency’s work or impose political litmus tests on employees.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President-elect Donald Trump’s pick to lead the CIA told senators during his confirmation hearing Wednesday that the nation’s premier spy agency must do a better job of staying ahead of global threats posed by Russia, China and other adversaries.

Although John Ratcliffe isn't expected to face major difficulties being confirmed, there’s still concern about his place at the top of the CIA.
