Harris County residents encountered a terrifying situation when a radar-confirmed tornado whipped through the area on Monday. A resident’s childhood home in Cypress, Texas was one of many to get hit.

A tornado warning is in effect until 3 a.m. for Hinds, Rankin and Madison counties. A possible tornado was spotted on radar around 2 a.m. near Edwards. Watch live in the video player above. A tornado watch is also in effect for the metro area until 6 a.m.
