A man charged in the shooting of his ex-girlfriend outside a daycare has been found guilty. He now awaits trial in the killing of a Sheriff's deputy.

Orlando Mitchell, a suspect in the 2023 murder of Marion County Deputy John Durm, has been convicted of another crime, the fatal strangling of his ex-girlfriend, Krystal Walton.
