The protests taking place across Los Angeles are heightening fears in America's largest county, a place still recovering from the wildfires tragedy.

Marines and additional National Guard troops arrived in the Los Angeles area on Tuesday, June 10, sent in by President Donald Trump in response to protests over immigration raids despite the objections of the governor and local leaders.
“Multiple groups continue to congregate on 1st St between Spring and Alameda. Those groups are being addressed and mass arrests are being initiated. Curfew is in effect,” read a post on the LAPD’s social media, sent at 9:09p.m local time on Tuesday night.
Protests that break out remain mostly peaceful during the day, but at night agitators engage in fiery clashes with police.
On Sunday, activists in Barcelona, Lisbon and other hot spots plan to take to the streets to voice their concerns about “touristification.”
As L.A. remains under curfew, the Governor of Texas announced plans to deploy the National Guard ahead of a planned protest in San Antonio.
