The WNBA players union and the league are no closer to a new collective bargaining agreement a day before All-Star weekend and a national showcase.
The WNBA’s collective bargaining agreement is set to expire Oct. 31. If the league and players don’t reach a new deal by then, a work stoppage could begin.
In the lead-up to the All-Star break (July 17-19), a few WNBA players discussed the upcoming meetings and where things stood. Under the condition of anonymity, a few knowledgeable sources mentioned the potential of a work stoppage to the New York Post.
