The Hoosiers are rounding into shape to close the season, and a dominant win over Washington was needed on a bad day for NCAA Tournament bubble teams.

With its tournament resume on the line, Indiana basketball went to Seattle and beat Washington in convincing fashion to move to 18-11 on the season and 9-9 in Big Ten play. The Hoosiers have struggled with slow starts this season that regularly left them trailing at halftime,

Indiana came out in all-black uniforms for the first time this season and defeated Washington 78-62 at Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle.

SEATTLE -- Reserve Malik Reneau scored 22 points on 10-for-13 shooting and Luke Goode scored 18 points and Indiana led for all but 47 seconds in a 78-62 win over Washington on Saturday. Mackenzie Mgbako and reserve Myles Rice each scored 10 points for the Hoosiers (18-11, 9-9 Big Ten) who shot 49% (30 for 61).

With consecutive wins over Purdue and Penn State, the Hoosiers are now playing for an NCAA Tournament spot again. Most brackets have them in the First Four again this year in Dayton, so every game counts towards getting more safely in the field.
