The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) has named the inmate who allegedly stabbed rapper Tory Lanez 14 times in custody.

Canadian rapper Tory Lanez has been hospitalized after being stabbed 14 times in a California prison where he is serving a 10-year sentence for shooting fellow artist Megan Thee Stallion in 2020 .

An Instagram post on his verified social media account stated Lanez, 32, born Daystar Peterson, was “stabbed 14 times - including seven wounds to his back, four to his torso, two to the back of his head, and one to the left side of his face.”
