By Aftab Ahmed, Shivam Patel and YP Rajesh NEW DELHI/ISLAMABAD (Reuters) -Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi warned Pakistan on Monday that New Delhi would target "terrorist hideouts" across the border again if there were new attacks on India and would not be deterred by what he called Islamabad's "nuclear blackmail".

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said India “only paused” its military action against Pakistan, in his first speech to the nation since a ceasefire following a fierce military confrontation last week that threatened a fifth all-out war between the nuclear-armed neighbours.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has adopted a rather belligerent tone toward Pakistan. This is a way for him to reassure ultra-nationalists, who saw the conflict as an opportunity to reclaim the Pakistani-run part of Kashmir.
