Arsenal’s decision to poach Noni Madueke from Chelsea has caused uproar among certain sections of the fanbase.

Arsenal hero Paul Merson admits he's unhappy with their deal for Chelsea winger Noni Madueke. Merson insists there was no real need to bring in another winger after Madueke arrived in a £52m deal. "I am flabbergasted by Arsenal signing Noni Madueke," the 57-year-old wrote in his Sky Sports column.

Madueke is a direct dribbler who thrives in one-versus-one situations and he can play on either flank, with most of his minutes coming down the right wing. Arsenal’s focus on attacking those areas should suit Madueke’s profile, and he should offer Mikel Arteta more chances to rest Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
