Pakistan ceasefire, tensions flared in J&K as drones were intercepted over Udhampur and blasts reported near Srinagar’s Badami Bagh cantonment.

The first word of the truce came from U.S. President Donald Trump, who posted on his Truth Social platform that he was pleased to announce that India and Pakistan had agreed to a full and immediate ceasefire. “Congratulations to both Countries on using Common Sense and Great Intelligence. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

Pakistan and India accused each other of launching drone attacks, and Islamabad’s Defence Minister said further retaliation was “increasingly certain”, on the second day of major clashes between the nuclear-armed neighbours.
