Bullpen help was the prime target of Thursday’s trade deadline for Texas, and it will now add a left-handed arm that has posted a 1.16 ERA in 40 appearances this season.

In a tweet, Passan announced that the Texas Rangers have acquired left-handed pitcher Danny Coulombe from the Minnesota Twins. Coulombe, this season has appeared in 40 games, striking out 31 in 31 innings with a 1-0. record.

Heuer becomes the fourth relief pitcher to be acquired by the Tigers before the MLB trade deadline. In addition to acquiring Sewald and Heuer, the Tigers also acquired Atlanta Braves relief pitcher Rafael Montero and Washington Nationals reliever Kyle Finnegan.
