There are several ways to teach your dog to walk on a loose leash. In this video I show one of my favorites, using a long line. This was filmed at a local shelter during one of my Bound Angels University Trainings. Teaching the dog that the correction comes from him being away from you removes the associated suspicion that dogs often feel when being corrected on short leads.
