Norway has begun constructing Rogfast, set to become the world’s longest and deepest undersea road tunnel. Stretching 26.7 km and descending nearly 392 meters below sea level, it is part of the E39 coastal highway project designed to transform travel between Stavanger and Bergen. Once completed in 2033, the tunnel will cut travel time by 40 minutes and eliminate ferry crossings.
