History made: small Maryland town elects first Black mayor

Today we mourn the passing of Miss America 1948 BeBe Shopp Waring. At 95, in her 78th anniversary year, she took her final walk on the Miss America stage last month. This was and will be one of the most inspirational and touching moments in our history. Bebe showed women in that moment that they can achieve what they desire to do with purpose, determination, and love.
