Owl Creek Landing officially opened a new stainless-steel spiral slide, dubbed "The Whorl," at the Nautilus Lookout Tower on Monday. The 65-foot lookout tower, which is located behind the Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center's south building, now houses what developers have called the longest stainless-steel slide in the U.S. It currently sits at 117 feet tall. | WTKR News 3

Tidal flooding was causing problems in Norfolk on Thursday night, with the high tide coming in around 9:12 p.m. Some areas that experienced drastic flooding included West Olney Road, Hampton Boulevard and Jamestown Crescent, forcing drivers to turn around or risk driving through high water. On Friday, tidal flooding will be likely during the morning and evening tides, with everything starting to get back to normal by Saturday. | WTKR News 3
